Among landscape products in our lineup, nothing is softer. Natural is very close in texture.
Very natural. The clover, field green, and olive combination replicates the organic color variation of a well-maintained Pacific Northwest lawn rather than the uniform bright green of a Southern grass variety. In overcast Pacific Northwest light — which is most of the year — multi-tone products read as real grass. Single-color products go flat and obvious. Rainier Blend holds up in those conditions better than most.
Yes, with a note. The softness and pile weight make it excellent for households where dogs lounge and play on the lawn. For dedicated high-use dog runs with multiple large dogs, we'd typically discuss whether the shorter-pile Bermuda Blend is a better fit for cleanup and drainage purposes. Rainier Blend uses EnvyLawn's K-29 proprietary backing rather than SYNLawn's EnviroLoc+ system. If PFAS-free certification is a priority, our Natural and Native Grass products use SYNLawn's independently verified PFAS-free, USDA BioPreferred EnviroLoc+ backing.
