Is it good for dogs?

Yes. The antimicrobial technology is integrated into the yarn fiber itself -- not a surface coating -- so it does not wash off with cleaning or rain. What does "face weight" mean and why does it matter?

Face weight measures the fiber only -- the actual grass blades -- in ounces per square yard. It does not include the backing. A higher face weight means more fiber per square foot, which translates to a denser, more durable surface with better underfoot feel. Northwest Blend's 80 oz face weight puts it in the upper range for landscape turf.

What is the soy-based backing and does it matter?
