Puyallup Artificial Turf Playground
Puyallup, WA
- Playgrounds
All Saints Catholic School in approached us looking for a solution to upgrade their playground area. Their former playground surface was interlocking black rubber playground tiles which had become worn, dated and in need of a refresh. Since the school is located in an urban area and the existing sub-base for the playground is concrete, growing traditional grass was not possible nor desirable considering the wear and tear a school playground receives. The school thought an artificial grass playground would make the space look more natural and resemble a more traditional play structure. We used a artificial turf nailer board with crown staples to create a secure edge.
Playgrounds and fall height requirements
The school chose Softlawn EZ Play which features a thatch layer for added body and it is designed for durability, making it an excellent turf option to hold up to the wear and tear of young children playing. A PolyGreen foam pad was utilized underneath the turf for safety. This playground system is much more pleasant to use than traditional bark chips or crumb rubber. There is no mess or dust that can get on the kids and the turf can be very easily cleaned and maintained after heavy use. A synthetic turf playground like this is durable, safer and more enjoyable to use, making it the perfect upgrade to any school, playground, park or jungle gym.
